Voice & Feel
four voices, none of them a bare sine — pick one, pick your range, and every finger you land (up to five — a whole hand) sings in its own colour. y-axis is loudness: the bottom edge whispers, it never goes silent.
Echo
not a looper — a canon. the ghost starts singing echo-time after your first touch, so with a short echo it's chasing your finger while you're still drawing. two repeats, each quieter and paler, then gone for good.
Scale
the stripes on the pad are the scale — roots in amber, note names along the bottom. turn gravity up and your finger falls into them; turn it to zero and the whole space between the notes is yours. the non-octave scales (slonimsky, harmolodic) wrap at their own period, not the octave.
Backing
a self-playing accompaniment that draws from whatever scale and root you've chosen, so it's always in tune. long overlapping notes like a held sustain pedal; low notes come rarely and lean on the root and fifth, the higher ones roam the whole scale. pattern turns pure randomness (left) into a repeating phrase that keeps quietly reshaping itself (right). change the scale any time — the bed follows.
